Debra J. Parent, PHR, SHRM-CP, CHHR, President

Debra has an MBA and over 35 years of experience as a Recruiter and HR leader. Debra has the following national accredited certifications:

• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the HRCI (HR Certification Institute)
• SHRM-CP national certification from SHRM, Society of Human Resources Management
• CHHR (Certified in HealthCare Human Resources) Certification through the American Hospital Association
• Talent Acquisition Certification through SHRM
• Certified Professional Coach, certified by the Center for Coaching Certification

Debra launched Right Fit Recruiting LLC in 2017 to help small businesses develop and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies.  Debra provides:

• Specialized and tailored private recruiting
• Is an expert at filling key hard to recruit positions
• Has deep expertise in designing well-thought-out HR programs, smart HR policies, and workable HR solutions to respond to current workforce challenges
• She leads with integrity, balancing company and employee interests
• She possesses a forward-thinking approach

As a former leader of a team of HR Business Partners for a large three-hospital healthcare system with an employee populace of over 7,500, Debra was a key member of the HR leadership team at the Director level.  She also served as VP of HR for Gold Medal Bakery, the VP of HR at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, and the Employee Relations Director of the Sisters of Charity Health Systems.

She is a former Human Resources Management business professor at UMASS Dartmouth and Bristol Community College, and a former Grant Trainor for Bristol Community College, having taught at local Fall River firms on Leadership/Supervisory skills.

Debra will be returning to the classroom at UMASS Dartmouth teaching the senior capstone Strategic HR Management course later this year.

She is an active member of the UMASS Dartmouth Charlton College of Business Advisory Board, as well as a member of Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA), the American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Association (ASHHRA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and my Pinnacle Group.  She volunteers her time providing HR services for the Jewish Community Day School of Rhode Island.

Katlyn Almeida, RDH, Senior Recruiter

Katlyn is:

• A highly experienced dental hygienist and trainer licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island with over 22 years experience in the dental office
• A highly effective dental recruiter with an amazing track record of fills
• Expertise in contemporary hiring trends and effective sourcing strategies
• She brings a commonsense approach to recruiting in today’s “candidate’s market”
• She provides recommended solutions to improve a practice’s recruiting process overall which ultimately enables them to fill key vacancies not only now, but in the future.
• Katlyn holds an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene as well as Local Anesthetic License in Rhode Island, and is certified in Biolase Soft Tissue Laser and CPR/ AED.
