How We Got Started
After a fulfilling career as a VPHR working at a large manufacture in southeast Massachusetts for a total of 20 years, and two large hospitals (one in Maine, the Sisters of Charity Health System, and one in Rhode Island, Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island), Debra launched Right Fit Recruiting LLC over 11 years ago. She launched the company to help small businesses with hard to fill recruiting needs, as many small companies may not be able to afford the fees charged by a large recruiting firm, nor do they have the recruiting talent internally to effectively recruit.
Since 2013, Debra has assembled a group of clients which have been relying on her for their hiring needs.

Debra has recruited for a variety of industries from healthcare, dental, manufacturing, insurance, legal, hospitality, electrical, construction, and more.

She is a former Human Resources Management business professor at UMASS Dartmouth and Bristol Community College, and a former Grant Trainor for Bristol Community College, having taught at local Fall River firms on Leadership/Supervisory skills.
She is a member of the UMASS Dartmouth Charlton College of Business Advisory Board, as well as a member of Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA), the American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Association (ASHHRA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Provisors and my Pinnacle Group. She volunteers her time providing HR services for the Jewish Community Day School of Rhode Island.

Seeing the need for assisting dental practices with recruiting needs, Debra Parent, DJP Rightfit Recruiting’s owner, expanded the firm, with the addition of Kate Almeida, RDH, who happens to be her niece. Kate is a talented Recruiting Manager, handling a large recruitment load, and with an outstanding fill and retention rate for her referred candidates.
She uses technology to the fullest to conduct her searches, and clients and candidates thoroughly enjoy working with her. She works tirelessly to find her clients the best qualified candidate the labor market has to offer. She is an amazing communicator who isn’t afraid to have a difficult conversation. Yet, she does it with grace.
